About Little Hollows Pasta

Little Hollows Pasta sits quietly on Chandos Road in Redland, Bristol, yet the atmosphere inside feels anything but ordinary. Tucked away at 26 Chandos Rd, this Italian restaurant has built a reputation for serving fresh pasta dishes that feel comforting, creative, and full of personality at the same time. The space has an easygoing charm from the moment you walk in. With outdoor seating available, it’s the kind of place where people settle in over a glass of wine and lose track of time while plates of handmade pasta keep arriving at the table. The restaurant leans heavily into the dine-in experience, so everything feels designed for slowing down and enjoying the meal properly rather than rushing through it.

One thing that stands out immediately is how balanced the menu feels. You’ll notice rich Italian flavors sitting comfortably beside lighter, healthier options, which makes the experience work for different tastes and moods. There are vegan and vegetarian choices that never feel like an afterthought, plus small plates that make sharing easy if you’re visiting with friends. The cocktail selection adds a lively touch to the evening crowd, while wine, beer, and even a strong coffee afterward fit naturally into the flow of dinner. Because Little Hollows Pasta focuses entirely on the in-house dining atmosphere, the food arrives exactly as intended, fresh and carefully plated.

The vibe here feels modern without losing that warm neighborhood restaurant energy people look for in Bristol. You’ll see couples leaning into long conversations, groups passing around plates, and regulars greeting staff like old friends. Even on busier evenings, the setting stays relaxed instead of overly formal. That balance between casual comfort and seriously good Italian food is what makes Little Hollows Pasta feel memorable. Every detail, from the welcoming service to the carefully prepared dishes and drinks, creates a restaurant experience that feels personal, lively, and genuinely enjoyable.

A charming little spot with warm service, and it was such a pleasure chatting with Chris, the man behind the beautifully hand-rolled pasta and, as it turns out, the owner! We ordered almost everything on the menu (photo attached!), and every dish was absolutely outstanding. The standout items for me were the beetroot and goat cheese cappellacci and the tiramisu; pure perfection! A well-deserved Bib Gourmand!

We had a fantastic meal! Very much enjoyed the polenta and featherblade, the agnolotti and the tiramisu. Also the drinks were delicious!

The food was amazing, especially knowing they make their own pasta by hand. The service and staff were so lovely (Special shout out to Ed) and the restaurant had a great atmosphere and was packed even for a Tuesday night. Will definitely come again.

Some of the best pasta I have ever had Little Hollows was an absolute delight, the staff were very welcoming and assisted with the menu when we had questions. The lunchtime set menu is incredible value for three courses, each were delicious. Highly recommend!

Really lovely service, gorgeous atmosphere (loved the little tiny hollowed out gourds for tealight holders!) and the pasta was unbelievable. We had the bread to start which was warm and was served with soft, salted butter. We had a bottle of white wine to share and then one pasta dish each, the reginette pork and the cappelletti with mushrooms. It was the best pasta I’ve ever had and my partner loved his. It’s so nice to have a place of such high quality with vegetarian and vegan options. We shared the tiramisu for dessert which was also amazing! It was a very memorable evening and we are really excited to be back soon!

Our local friends had arranged dinner for us at Little Hollows Pasta, one of their favorite spots. The food was delicious! I had boquerones as a starter and tortelloni with mascarpone, tomatoes, and ricotta as the main course. Absolutely amazing food. Everyone in our group said the same. The service was friendly, although we had to wait quite a while for the main course—the starters arrived quickly. It was a warm evening, and we dined peacefully on the enclosed outdoor terrace, as the small indoor dining room was full. From a traveler’s perspective, the restaurant is a bit off the beaten path in Redland, but it’s accessible by public transport as well as taxis. The surrounding area is charming, mostly made up of detached houses. There’s also a nice pub nearby, The Kensington Arms.

Genuinely one of the best pastas I’ve had in a long long time! The sourdough was surprisingly soft, and the burrata wasn’t seasoned so not really for my taste. The cocktails were great though – definitely try the Bellini and the gin basil smash. The pasta was the absolute star of the show. The agnolotti was divine, rich, and full of flavour. The prices are overall on the higher side, but totally worth it for the taste and portion size. I wanted to try the tomato spaghetti too, so that’s on my list for next time. The tiramisu was good as well. Tip: please make a reservation, it gets busy!
